About us

I was born in Olot, in the north of Catalonia, and I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. My first strokes were dinosaurs, monsters and, later, characters from Dragon Ball or The Lord of the Rings, which marked my childhood.

During my teens, I discovered skateboarding and graffiti, combining afternoons of skating with the excitement of painting on abandoned buildings. My style was also influenced by the world of tattoos, with skulls, roses, dragons and strong shadow contrasts.

I studied a medium-level degree at the School of Art and, at 19, I started tattooing, earning my first income through art. Later I took a higher degree in illustration, leaving aside tattoos and graffiti to focus on illustration and comics.

In 2020, I moved to Barcelona to continue my training, while practicing skateboarding tricks solo at MACBA. Shortly after I made my first skate animation, discovering a new creative world.

My animations went viral on Instagram, allowing me to collaborate with brands and businesses related to skateboarding. Since then, I’ve created animations for YouTube, podcasts, restaurants, clothing brands, paint stores, card games, and individuals.

I created several of my own skater characters for my brand Zarka Skateboards, and later my signature character was born: Gary the Cockroach, a feisty cockroach who enjoys skating in impossible corners and challenging any established order.
